Learn about WSL Dashboard's story and technology

Our Story

WSL Dashboard originated as an internal technical project at a well-known listed internet company. It was initially developed to solve the pain points of thousands of internal developers in managing WSL instances efficiently on Windows.

After two years of continuous iteration and real-world battle-testing, the project became a recognized productivity tool among internal developers due to its extreme performance and intuitive user experience, receiving high praise in multiple internal technical evaluations.

Adhering to the geek spirit of open source and openness, we decided to fully open-source this mature internal tool. We aim to provide global developers with a more professional and efficient WSL management solution, leveraging Rust and Slint to deliver industrial-grade stability and ultra-low footprint (~10MB).
